Sie sieht aus wie eine Hängebrücke, besteht aus Seilgeflecht und Holzteilen und kann problemlos als Brücke benützt werden. Das Seilgeflecht des Brückengeländers besteht jedoch aus Weidezaunband und ist an einen Viehüter angeschlossen. Somit ist «BrückenSchlag» auch ein Zaun, der ein Gebiet eingrenzt und unter Strom steht wie ein Weidezaun. Je nach Bodenhaftung bekommt man die ein- oder ausschliessende Restriktion körperlich mit einem Stromschlag zu spüren. Analog zu dieser Brücken-Zaun-Konstellation interessiert uns das Spiel mit Bedeutungen des Brückenschlagens in einem kommunikativen Sinne und den Hindernissen, die dabei auftreten. Hindernisse, die eine abschreckende oder strafende Wirkung haben und einen daran hindern „Brücken“ zu schlagen. Wer oder was erzeugt in dieser Konstellation den Stromschlag und nimmt sich das Recht, damit eine Grenze zu ziehen?


It looks like a rope bridge, consists of a rope network and wooden parts and it can be used as a bridge without any further problems. However, the rope network of the bridge railing is a band for pasture fence and it is connected to an electric source. Therefore, «bridging» is also a fence that sets limits to an area and that is energized like a pasture fence. Depending on your contact with the ground you can physically feel the including or excluding restriction with an electric shock. In close analogy to this bridge-fence constellation we are interested in how such constellation plays with the meanings of bridging in a communicative sense and in the obstacles that arise from this. Obstacles that have a daunting or punishing effect and that prevent you from actually building bridges. How or what creates the electric shock in this constellation and preserves the right to thus draw a line?
